Last year many members asked for a longer distance race event late in the summer season. Working with the surrounding area's officials, BARC is proud to announce the initial BARC BIG Race - 10 Miler !!!
As club members expressed not wishing to travel far to participate in a 10 Mile event, the club has been working hard at putting together a race to meet the members' wishes. Taking place Sunday August 16th across from Coryell Field (514 Morton St. Bay City, 48706).
Starting time will be 7:30AM for the 10-Mile Run, 7:45AM for the 2 Mile Run, and 7:50 for the 5K Walk. This event will be tightly capped at 200 total participants. Offering 3 separate events, the 10-Mile Run (Runners only please), the 5K Walk, and 2 Mile Run. The course will be on the Great Lakes Bay Regional Trail - running through the city of Bay City, Frankenlust & Zilwaukee townships for a down-and-back route stretching for 10 miles !!
Brief awards ceremony after the event. Port-a-Johns will be stationed at the starting line of the races, please come dressed to run or walk. Surrounding parking areas are limited, parking separate from the event may need to be required.
Awards:
First Overall, Second Overall, Third Overall, Masters (40 yrs +), and Grand Masters (60 yrs +) Male and Female, First & Second in age group in the 10-Mile Run only.
First Overall, Second Overall, Third Overall, First & Second in age group in the 2-Mile Run only.
Top 5 finishers for both Male and Female divisions for the 5K walk.

Online registration for this event ends August 15 at 12AM, Because we would still like to enjoy having you participate in this event, race day registration as well as packet pickup will start at 6:30AM at Coryell Field.
